Mounting & Varnishing Watercolors and Giclée Prints
In this video I will take you through the process, step by step, of mounting and varnishing watercolor paintings. I will be showing you how I mounted an original painting to a flat panel, and a giclée print of the same painting to a cradled board.

All the materials necessary
How to plan for the actual painting size
How to glue or mount the painting to the panel
How to trim, varnish and finish
This process is the same whether you are mounting an original work, a giclée print, or plain white watercolor paper to a panel to paint on after mounting. This is a unique way to display your watercolor work with no need for mats and glazing. A few watercolor societies within the United Sates are relaxing their framing guidelines and are allowing this form of presentation in their shows.
